Terms of use

The deal, in plain words.

Last updated

These terms are an agreement between you and us for using Winq: the Mac app, your Winq account, the account site and the cloud AI behind it. By using Winq you agree to them. Our privacy policy says what we do with your data.

Who we are

Winq is made by Snkres LLC. "We" and "us" means that business; "you" means the person using Winq.

Free and paid plans

Buying and billing

The trial

Pro has a 7-day free trial with no card, started in the Winq app, once per account and once per Mac. When it ends, Winq goes back to Free unless you choose a plan. Making extra accounts to get more trials isn't allowed.

Cancelling and refunds

Cloud AI: allowance and fair use

Using Winq properly

Cloud AI is there for Winq's own features. You agree not to:

If an account is used this way, we can limit or block it. Where we can, we'll tell you why first.

Licence keys from before accounts

A licence key bought before accounts can be redeemed on the account site for one month of Starter. A key works once, and an account redeems once. A key that's already active on a Mac keeps working on that Mac.

The local agent API

Winq can answer coding agents on your Mac through a local API and its MCP endpoint. It listens only on your Mac, at 127.0.0.1, and needs a token. You choose which agents to connect and what they do with it; keep the token private. We're not responsible for other people's software.

Betas

Winq Intelligence and Presence are in beta, and we may mark other features beta too. Betas can change, break or go away. Cards written by AI can be wrong or miss things: check anything important yourself.

What's yours

What Winq reads on your Mac stays yours. We use it only to give you Winq: for cloud AI features, that means passing it to the AI provider that writes your card. The app, the site and the Winq name are ours. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on your own Macs while you follow these terms.

No warranty

Winq is provided "as is" and "as available". Gaze picks screens and windows, not pixels, and it will sometimes pick the wrong one. Don't rely on Winq where a wrong focus or a missed card could cause harm. As far as the law allows, we make no promises about Winq beyond what these terms say, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or lost work. Our total liability for any claim about Winq is limited to what you paid for Winq in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited, or liability that can't be excluded by law.

Ending

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Winq changes. We'll change the date at the top, and for changes that matter we'll tell you in the app or by email before they apply. Using Winq after that means you accept the new terms; if you don't, cancel and stop using it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Egypt, and disputes go to the courts of Egypt. If you're a consumer, you keep the protections of the law where you live, and you can also bring a claim there.
